Attending WDW in Dec. I noticed HS has a Merry & Bright Dessert Party. I'm wondering if it's worth the money. What type of desserts and how close are you to the lights? Also how long before the party do you need to arrive to check in?

    Hi Colleen,

A December trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is a great gift to your family.  The Merry & Bright Dessert Party is a special event to help celebrate this most magical time of year.  The party is held in the midst of the beautiful lights on the Streets of America where you'll be part of the show, immersed in the music and illumination.  I attended a similar party last year and can tell you that the drinks and desserts are delicious. There are both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink choices as well as cupcakes, layered desserts, cobblers and other delectable goodies to make your taste buds tingle.  The festivities start at 7:00 pm and you should plan to arrive before then to check in, and select your table for viewing.  I always ask the question; is the money that I spend at Disney, worth it? What may be "worth it" for me, may not be "worth it" for you. Only you can make that decision based on your family and vacation budget dollars.

Sending you wishes for a merry and bright holiday and a magical vacation.
