Bright Suns, and welcome to planDisney, Isabella!
It sounds like you are about to journey to a galaxy far, far away next week! Whether you lean toward the First Order or the Resistance, let's make sure you have all the preparations necessary to ensure safe travels to Batuu.
Before you launch into lightspeed to enjoy
Star Wars Nite, you'll be able to enter Disneyland Park as early as 6:00 pm to enjoy some of the daily planetary activities of Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Adventureland, New Orleans Square, Frontierland, and the Bayou. While Disneyland Park generally does not allow costumes for Guests 14+, there are specific
costume guidelines for ticket holders of special events. I confirmed with a Cast Member that as long as you have a ticket to
Star Wars Nite, you are permitted to wear your costume when entering the park ahead of the 9:00 pm party start time, provided it falls within the rules and regulations.
For special events, Guests are welcome to dress in family-friendly costumes as their favorite characters as long as they do not pose or sign autographs for other Guests. I highly recommend reading through the full list of
guidelines, but I'm happy to highlight a few things here as well to keep in mind. This is probably an obvious one by costumes should not be obstructive or offensive, contain any weapons or sharp objects, and not reach or drag on the ground. Guests 13 and under can wear costumes and some masks as long as the mask does not cover the entire face and eyes are visible. For Guests 14+, masks are not permitted, and capes may only go to the waist. Headwear can be worn as long as it doesn't cover the face, and you can carry plastic Lightsabers or toy swords. If a Guest's costume borders on or falls outside of any of the guidelines, it is at the discretion of security to allow entry, or they may be asked to modify the costume. Creativity is encouraged, and you will have a blast mixing and mingling with your fellow galactic adventurers!
When you arrive and check in for the event, I highly recommend taking a few minutes to sit and go through the
commemorative guide map. This will tell you where everything is happening during the evening so you can earmark your must-do activities. While you're in costume, you'll want to make note of the
themed photo opportunities throughout the park. Of course, there will be special character meet and greets, but when my planDisney pals and I spent a night in the galaxy, we had even more fun popping into these special photos! You won't want to miss Jabba the Hutt or the Speeder Bikes!
Isabella, I wish you a good journey across the galaxy. If you have any more questions, you know where to find us at

May the force be with you,
