Hello there, Heidi. Thanks for swinging by with your question!
Oogie Boogie Bash is one of my favorite events at the Disneyland Resort. My family has made this an annual tradition for the last several years, complete with a group costume! I love that you are excited and looking to dress up for the event. There are several important things to know about the
costume guidelines for this event. First and foremost, "Costumes are subject to Disney guidelines and should not be obstructive or offensive" and the guidelines apply for the entirety of the event. Additionally, the costume must be family-friendly and Guests may not pose for pictures for other Guests.
Based on the information provided, it seems like your costume may be okay. However, the final word on the matter lies with the Cast Members at the
Disneyland Resort. Heidi, I have seen Cast Members ask people to alter the costumes by pinning them up if they were too long, and seen Guests who were asked to remove masks or other parts of their costumes for not following the guidelines. All costumes may be subject to additional security screening, especially those that have layers or props.
Please carefully review
all costume guidelines for the event, as I would hate for you to be turned away. If all else fails, please have a plan B with you. I usually bring an extra set of clothes for my kids to change into in case they no longer want to wear their costumes, so this may be something you'd like to do just in case.
I hope this information helps you plan a most excellent costume. Please be sure to visit again if you have any more questions!
Happy haunting, Heidi!
