Hey Audrey!
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) and the
Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party are a magical combination. Not only will you get to experience the sights and sounds of the
Celebrate the Magic castle projection show and
Holiday Wishes - Celebrate the Spirit of the Season in a relaxed, hassle-free location, you will also get to enjoy the wonderful dessert buffet.
I would not recommend the dessert party as a location to watch any of the nighttime parades as it is several hundred feet off the parade route and there are many obstacles in the way. However, I have good news for you: According to the 2014 MVMCP guide map (http://www.wdwmagic.com/events/mickeys-very-merry-christmas-party/gallery/07nov2014-mickey's-very-merry-christmas-party-2014-guide-map.htm), the parade steps off twice each party night.
The first takes place at 8:15 p.m. If you chose to view this showing I suggest watching on Main Street, U.S.A. near the Central Hub in front of Cinderella Castle. The parade, which typically lasts 15-20 minutes, will be finishing around the time the party starts. You will have a short walk from the Hub area to the Tomorrowland Terrace. The second parade steps off at 10:30 p.m. If you chose to experience this showing, you will have approximately 45 minutes to stroll to your favorite parade viewing location as the party concludes at the end of the fireworks.
I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any other questions please come back and see me.
Wishing you a
*MAGICAL* vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
