We will be attending Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party and wanted to head to the Magic Kingdom early in the day, store costumes in a locker, and change in time for the party. Is changing clothes in the park allowed (especially for adults)?

Hello, Tamara! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

You are in for a real treat when you attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the end of the month. This event holds a special place in my heart as it allows our whole family to dress up in our fun costumes, eat lots (and lots and lots) of yummy goodies, visit with some harder-to-find Characters, enjoy unique entertainment options (with Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade being my personal favorite), AND experience some of our favorite Magic Kingdom Park attractions with lower wait times. It’s just so much fun!

You can absolutely bring your costumes with you to store in a locker and then change before the Party officially begins. With multiple restrooms located throughout the Park, you shouldn’t have any problem finding a place to don your festive attire. (I think the City Hall Restrooms near the Emporium on Main Street U.S.A. and the Tangled themed restrooms near "it’s a small world" are the most spacious.) Make sure you also check out the Costume Guidelines before you arrive!

Since you'll be in Magic Kingdom Park prior to when the Party begins, you’ll need to make your way back to the front of the Park to receive your wristbands before the Party officially starts. Last year we received ours right as we came through the main gates at Magic Kingdom Park, but the year before that we could get them to the left of Town Square Theater and then enter through the area to the right of The Chapeau. Just ask a Cast Member and they’ll direct you to the correct location.

Oh, and don’t forget your trick-or-treat bags! My daughter loves carrying her own pumpkin bucket, but you can just as easily use a plastic or canvas bag. I would recommend something with a lid or a bag that you can fold over so your candy doesn’t try to escape on Space Mountain.

Have a spooktacular time, Tamara! Please let us know if you have any additional questions. We’re happy to help.
