I will be attending a mer conference at the Grand Floridian in May. Am I required to be a hotel guest at the Grand Flordian in order to attend the conference per the new Covid guidelines?

    Hi Heather,

Ooh...Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is one of my favorite places around the entire Walt Disney World Resort! Inside and out, it's a truly gorgeous setting, and you're going to love simply being on the grounds. If you get a chance during one of your breaks, I highly recommend taking a stroll over to the marina and dock for some beautiful views of Seven Seas Lagoon and even Magic Kingdom Park!

I'm happy to let you know that you'll have no trouble accessing the Grand Floridian Convention Center as a registered guest of the conference. Your event coordinator should provide details for you, but when you arrive at the security checkpoint, you'll simply tell the Cast Member that you're there for a conference. You'll be directed to a parking lot near the convention center where you'll have easy access to your meeting space.

I hope you'll have a chance to whistle while you work a bit! The Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will be going on during your visit and would be a fantastic place to enjoy some delicious bites and beverages after a day of learning and networking.

Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, Heather, and please feel free to come see us again with any other questions you may have as you're planning your visit. I hope your time at Walt Disney World Resort for your conference is truly magical!
