Do you have to attend Mickeys holiday party in order to get pic's w/ charecters in holiday attire? We will be visiting during this time, but my kids are too young to attend the party (usually in bed by 8) Any other special holiday events that are free?

Hi, Kathy!  You will usually find characters in their holiday best around some of the deluxe resorts, and it can be well worth a trip to see the decorations!  In years past, I have found characters in their holiday finery in the Grand Floridian, the Beach Club, the Boardwalk, the Polynesian, and other resorts.

In the theme parks, you will likely find the characters stay mostly to the theme of the park, but I have in years past seen at leas a character or two dressed for the season.  I've found it to be a little more hit or miss, but I have encountered Minnie in winter clothes and Santa Goofy.

Touring the resorts is free, and really a great way to get into the holiday spirit.  Included in the price of your EPCOT park pass, you can enjoy the very spiritual Candlelight Processional.  Also at EPCOT, visit the countries of the World Showcase to hear stories about how each country celebrates the holidays, and have photos taken with the "Santas" or holiday iconic figure.

    Have a great time!
