I am attempting to purchase magic bands and park tickets for my family’s trip, but the only person I can purchase them for is myself. It still states “1 guest” even though I have added the rest of my family in the “family and friends” section.

    Hey there, Libba!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with an excellent Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I'm happy to hear you're planning a holly jolly holiday escape to The Most Magical Place on Earth! There's nothing like the Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays, and early December is one of my favorite times to experience the magic. I'd be happy to help you troubleshoot your MagicBand order issues!

Libba, I understand you're trying to pre-order MagicBands ahead of your family's vacation. Since you've mentioned you're already connected to each family member via My Disney Experience, my guess is that not everyone is correctly linked to your Disney Resort hotel reservation. I recommend visiting the "My Plans" page (or viewing the reservation in the My Disney Experience mobile app) to ensure that each family member traveling with you is listed on the Resort hotel reservation. You should see the Disney Character icon associated with each person's My Disney Experience profile. If you see generic "Blue Mickey" icons depicted for these Guests, it may mean you haven't linked each Guest appropriately. To update the names on your reservations, go to "Manage Reservation" or call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations phone line for assistance.

Another thing that comes to mind is this: if you're a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder, you may be seeing a pre-order opportunity for yourself only. Annual Passholders are eligible to pre-order bands associated with their affiliation, so when I view the "My MagicBands and Cards" page, I see a MagicBand order for myself only. If I scroll further down the page, I see orders associated with Disney Resort hotel reservations. So, just make sure you're viewing the correct order if this is the case and you have multiple reservations and/or Annual Passholder affiliations tied to your account! If you're still having issues after trying these things, I recommend reaching out to the friendly Cast Members at the My Disney Experience, MagicBand and MagicBand+ phone line.

Libba, I hope you've found this information useful as you gear up for a wondrous wintertime trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any additional questions before your stay, you can always revisit us here at planDisney. We're here to help you make the most of your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

    Warm wishes,

    Lauren
