How can you get the asteroid field or the hitchhiker ending in Smugglers Run? What about wookie mode?

Welcome to planDisney, Jana! I hear you're interested in working for that "completely legitimate shipping company," Ohnaka Transport Solutions. When you visit Walt Disney World Resort soon, you can head to Disney's Hollywood Studios to hop aboard Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and help Chewbacca pilot through the galaxy. Now let's go get that Coaxium!

One thing that keeps this attraction exciting is that it's never the same twice. The pilots determine the exact route, and everyone plays their assigned roles differently. It's a little like pixie dust because the surprise is where the magic happens! I realize there are hacks and tips out there, and a quick online search will yield lots of advice. I don't want to spoil anything, but I can share my personal experiences.

A friend told me about "Chewy Mode," so I asked a Cast Member just before boarding if they could help my party experience it. All six of us had to agree to participate, so if you're with guests you don't know, you might have to wait for another time. The Cast Member did all the work, so I couldn't tell you the exact buttons she pushed or in what order. But the entire ride was narrated by Chewbacca himself! I want to add that guests unfamiliar with the mission's storyline might prefer the regular narration...unless they speak Wookie!

If you'd like to try this mode, please mention it to the Cast Member just before you take your seats. Their ability to accommodate you could depend on how many guests are riding and how busy the queue is, but it's worth a try.

As for the various endings, such as removing a tentacled hitchhiker or getting bonus time flying through an asteroid field, I suspect those modes kick in when the ride needs extra time for loading guests. I've heard theories that the asteroid scene is added depending on how well (or poorly) your crew performs, but I've not found that to be consistent. There's that pixie dust again, Jana!

The single-rider queue is one way to sneak in some extra practice on the Falcon. The option isn't always open, but my husband and I take advantage of the shorter wait time whenever possible. And the perfect way to celebrate a successful flight is to grab a Cold Brew Black Caf at Kat Saka's Kettle afterward. My tip is to ask for extra chocolate puffs!

Jana, I have a good feeling about this visit! Please stop by planDisney anytime. Now, let's jump into hyperspace, and as Chewy would say, "AAARRRR!"

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
