Hello, Katherine!
Welcome to the planDisney Panel and thank you for stopping by with your question. I'm excited to hear you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort this summer! My family's most recent trip was last August and we had an incredible time at Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios. The highlight of our trip was definitely experiencing
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. We piloted the
Millennium Falcon twice and we were absolutely amazed by
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance!
The best place to
book a Disney Resort Hotel or
purchase theme park tickets is directly through the Walt Disney World website. Once you purchase your park tickets, you will also need to make a
theme park reservation through the Disney Park Pass system. Currently, all Guests ages 3 and older must have a park reservation to enter any of the parks. Making theme park reservations through the Disney Park Pass system is quick and easy! Disney even has a
"Know Before You Go" video to show Guests how to make a park reservation. You may also want to read about the
enhanced health and safety measures now in place before your visit.
A few tips I like to share with families are:
- Download the My Disney Experience mobile app if you have not already. My wife and I use the app to update our plans, make dining reservations, and browse restaurant menus before we place a mobile order at select quick-service locations.
- Make dining reservations in advance, especially for a party of 10. Our family of six made dinner reservations for our last trip and it gave us peace of mind when we were all tired at the end of the day and ready to eat.
- Bring water and snacks with you to the parks. Keeping a few snacks on hand to have when you're taking a break from the attractions will keep everyone energized. Florida is very hot in the summer, so stay hydrated with plenty of water!
- Pack 2-3 face coverings for the parks so that you can swap them out during the day and wash the ones you wear at night. Starting the day in a fresh mask will keep everyone smiling (underneath).
Please let me know if I can help you with any other questions as you continue planning your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. You can also call a Disney Expert for help booking your vacation. Cast Members are standing by ready to assist at (407) WDISNEY or (407) 934-7639.
Have a magical day!
