Hi, we have been assigned the second sitting for dinner, shich might be a bit late for our 7 year old, esp. After a full day of fun. How can we get on the earlier sitting. Our cruise is apr 14 to thd Bahamas. Thanks.

    Ahoy Jeff!
There will be lots of fun for your family to look forward to on your Bahamian voyage!  I also have a seven year old, and I'm always amazed at his energy level on our sailings!  He doesn't want to miss a moment of the magic, and I'm sure you little cruiser will be just the same!
I have a couple of tips on how to change your seating for your April cruise.  If you haven't already, go ahead and call Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 and let a Cruise Reservation Agent know you would like to be put on the First Seating Wait List. If you don't move up before your cruise date, you will have a chance to change it once you board the ship.  When you check in at the cruise terminal, you will receive your first cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator.  On the front cover, you will see directions on how to change your dinner seating time. Disney Cruise Line does their best to accommodate their Guests requests, but I would definitely make this your first priority upon boarding.  If you don't have any luck, you may want to think about letting your child participate in the "Dine & Play" program available for second seating Guests.  This program allows children to leave the dining room early around 9:00-9:15 to go play in the youth spaces while you finish your meal. Just let your servers know and they will bring their dinner out early so they are ready to go once the counselors arrive.  Your son/daughter can enjoy free time, planned programming, or use one of the nap mats to lie down during movie time.
My fingers are crossed that you will be able to secure the earlier time, Jeff.  If not, be sure to look into the "Dine & Play" option.  If you have any other questions, please let me know.  I'm always happy to help.
