I will be at ASM over Halloween with my 6 and 2 yr olds and am wondering if I can go to any of the special events and happenings that will be at other Resorts. I'm just afraid that Downtown Disney will be too crowded. What do you think?

    Hi Lelane,

Our family has spent a number of Halloweens at Disney World. The boys love all the fun festivities and decorations and we really enjoy Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom.

We actually were at Downtown Disney on the last two Halloweens, and you are correct, it is pretty crowded. The shops and a number of the Cast Members hand out candy to the kids so as you can imagine, it is a popular place to be. However, while the crowds were larger, we still had a great time and found it relatively easy to move around given the size of  the Marketplace. If you are wanting to visit the Marketplace or Westside, I would still go, just plan on taking your time.

If you prefer to avoid these crowds, you are welcome to head over to any of the Disney resorts for an evening of fun. Most likely, the place you will want to head is Fort Wilderness. A number of the campsites decorate for the holiday and the kids can often participate in a costume parade and trick or treating. While there are plenty of fun activities and amenities at each of the Disney resorts, I can not recall any other Disney resort that has an evening specifically designed for Halloween.

Hope you have a bootiful time!
