I should have asked in my previous question...does Castle Couture only have childrens costumes for photo shoots. I was hoping to get a 25th bday photo shoot for my daughter. Thanks again

    Hi Donnamarie,

Castle Couture does only sell costumes for children.

Disney actually prohibits adults from dressing in costume during regular park hours, even just for a photo shoot. The only exception to this would be that costumes are allowed during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party which is held on select evenings in September, October, and November. There are also some guests who wear Star Wars character clothing during Star Wars weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios in May and June.

Adults can wear some costume elements in the parks with no problem. For example, I have several friends who routinely wear tiaras, boas, or sparkly skirts in the parks. But a full princess dress, particularly if hair and makeup were princess style, would be prohibited. I know of several situations where daytime guests in costume were asked to leave or change clothing.

If you wanted to have a photo shoot for your daughter, you could purchase an adult costume from an off-site retailer and perhaps have her picture taken at one of the Disney resorts. The ability to proceed with this would be up to the cast members at the hotel, but I don't know of any specific rules against this.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
