Ahoy, Elisa!
What a fun job you have been given! Planning a Disney Cruise Line vacation seems daunting at first, but you have come to the right place to begin the process.
First of all, decide when you would like to go. Keep in mind that rates are typically at their highest during school breaks, so if your party is willing to travel while most children are in school, you could save a LOT! I think February, early March, or October are all perfect times to set sail with Captain Mickey and his gang.
When you visit the Disney Cruise Line
website, you will put in your desired dates and then you can search for the itinerary that fits your travel party best. Since you are looking for a 5-Night or longer cruise, you will probably be heading to either the Eastern or Western Caribbean. (Most Bahamian sailings are 3 or 4 nights).
Since you have six people traveling, you will want to look for 2 connecting staterooms. The newly updated DCL website actually has the capability for you to put in for 2 staterooms and it will give you the opportunity to see on a map the available rooms.
I wish you the best of luck with planning this amazing vacation! Please visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions as you get further in the planning stages.
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
