Is there a way to ask for a certain dining rotation order? For example, wanting a certain restaurant for Saturday night? Also, for the sailing of the Magic on June 18th, what night is Pirate night?

Yo Ho and welcome back to planDisney, Adina! We love our returning guests just as much as we love those churro waffles at Cabanas!

Speaking of dining, rotational dining is one of the most magical perks of sailing with Disney Cruise Line. It ensures every guest gets to enjoy each of the three uniquely themed restaurants onboard. You’ll receive your dining rotation and table number upon arrival by checking the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Each evening, you, your tablemates, and your dedicated waitstaff will rotate to a different restaurant. One of my favorite parts? Your servers rotate with you! They’ll quickly learn your dining preferences—on our last cruise, by the second night, our servers already knew our favorite drinks (white wine for me, a Shirley Temple for my son), how we like our steaks cooked, and that we love solving the crayon puzzles!

To request a specific dining rotation, you can email Disney Cruise Line directly via their website, give them a call, or ask your travel agent to add a note to your reservation. While requests aren’t guaranteed, the crew does their best to accommodate them. We’ve also been able to request a favorite server in the past, so it never hurts to ask! Just be sure to check the Navigator app once onboard to confirm your final rotation.

Now, let’s talk Pirate Night! A little trick my friend Dustin shared is that you can often spot which night will be Pirate Night by checking the Pirates League Makeover availability in the app once you’re within your booking window. For your June 18th sailing on the Disney Magic, my best guess is that Pirate Night will fall on Friday (Day 3), as that’s the most common pattern for 4-night cruises. That means you’ll get a themed menu in the main dining rooms, a pool deck party to dance off dinner, and of course, Disney Cruise Line’s signature at-sea fireworks—an experience you won’t find on most other cruise lines!

The Disney Magic is one of my favorite ships in the fleet, and I’ll actually be sailing on it right before you! I love its smaller footprint—it makes it easy to navigate, and with fewer guests, snagging the perfect beach chair at Lighthouse Point is a breeze. Also, don’t miss Tangled: The Musical! It’s a Broadway-style show that’s pure Disney magic.

Wishing you a swashbuckling adventure this summer, Adina!
