When you ask for an adjoining room, do you normally get it?

Moms Panelist Bret does a fabulous job of explaining the best way to make room requests of this sort here. As you can see, it's extremely important to specify whether you really mean that you want adjoining rooms (next to each other) or connecting rooms (with a door in between them).

In answer to your question, yes, the vast majority of the time, requests like these are honored. I personally have requested connecting rooms at WDW about half a dozen times and we have always had this request honored. When you call and make your reservation, they will tell you that they will do their best, but requests are not guaranteed. And this is true. I have heard that on some occasions, usually during the holidays when things are booked at complete capacity, people have been disappointed by not getting the room configuration that they wanted. But if you follow Bret's suggestions and are staying at a non-peak time, you can feel very confident that your request will be honored.
