Hi Ashley. I'm traveling with my family for the RunDisney event next week! We are soooo excited. What is the quickest way to get to ESPN Wide World of Sports from the Magic Kingdom for us to go to the race Expo?

Welcome to planDisney, Matthew!  Thank you SO much for visiting us!

The runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend is almost here! I bet you and your family are getting so excited to head down to Walt Disney World Resort for fun and a run.  While this trip may be filled with early mornings and hard work, make sure to take some time to relax at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel pool or by checking out some of the brand new attractions, like Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, at the Theme Parks!  While I've never run a race in my life, I can only assume if I absolutely HAD to I would definitely choose to run through The Most Magical Place on Earth!

Since it sounds like you'll be spending some time at Magic Kingdom before the main event, don't forget to fuel up on a DOLE Whip from Aloha Isle in Adventureland.  It's one of my favorite snacks in the Parks and will certainly cool you off on a hot day.  Once you've had your fill of Space Mountain and DOLE Whips and you're ready to head to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex for the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo I believe the quickest way to get there would be with a Rideshare! Both major Rideshare companies are usually available and the ride is short so it will not be much of a cost or hassle.

If you're interested in snagging some new runDisney merchandise themed for this event definitely try to arrive as early as possible! Everyone wants to bring some memories home and you won't want to miss your chance. At the expo, you can also find some really interesting photo opportunities! Your friends on social media will love to see you decked out in your new gear with props and banners celebrating you and this runDisney event!

Even if you're tired after a long day at the races and in the Parks, make sure to spend at least two nights staying out "late" to catch the new nighttime fireworks shows at Magic Kingdom and EPCOTDisney Enchantment and Harmonious were both new to me the last time I visited and I just can't seem to pick a favorite. The lights, projections, and music will wake you up and keep you grinning from ear to ear long after the shows are over.  Don't miss them!

    I'll be cheering for you!

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Massachusetts

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
