    At the art of animation resort- what is included in the mini kitchen area? How large is the refrigerator? Thank you!

    Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

    The family suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort are such a great option for families that need a bit more space on their magical escape. It is especially nice when traveling with younger children, where their bedtime is far earlier that yours. You can put them to bed in the living room area, then retreat to the closed-door bedroom for some TV time before you head off to dreamland as well. 

    The mini-kitchen area includes 

    • Microwave (about 1 ft. across in the cooking space)
    • Coffee Maker (Cuisinart, not K-Cup)
    • Tea, coffee, and related supplies
    • Refrigerator (see more details below)
    • Sink
    • Paper towels
    • Can opener
    • Disposable plates, bowls, and utensils

    The refrigerator is a smaller one, similar to what you might find in a college dorm room. It is larger though, than the ones in a standard Disney hotel room, and stands about waist high. It does have a freezer section, though I would not entrust it to anything like ice cream. The inside area of the refrigerator is about 2 ft. high. 

    For your planning purposes, I would not purchase full gallons of milk, but a half gallon should fit in there if you remove the lowest shelving unit. It comes right out, so you should have no problem.
