Hello, Kari! Welcome to planDisney!
I love the way
Disney's Art of Animation Resort draws Guests into Disney and Pixar classics like
The Little Mermaid and
Finding Nemo. My children were amazed the first time we visited Disney's Art of Animation Resort and saw all of the unique Disney touches.
I checked with a Cast Member about the possibility of having fans to rent for your room at Art of Animation and was told they do not have any available. If you would like a fan on in your room, you will have to turn on the fan for the AC system. I know that each Disney Resorts Collection hotel that I have ever stayed at has excellent AC to keep my family comfortable in our home away from home.
Disney is strongly recommending Guests use
Online Check-In to aid in social distancing efforts and avoid delays. "When you use the Direct-to-Room service, you provide us in advance of your arrival with information typically collected during a traditional check-in at the Front Desk. On arrival day, you'll receive notifications on your mobile device (based on communication preferences you have opted into) with real-time updates, including when your room is ready and what your room number is." You can begin the
online check-in process now on disneyworld.com or with the
My Disney Experience app. Remember to bring your MagicBand with you or set up the
Unlock Door feature on your smartphone.
Did you know that if you have a credit card on file there's no need to stop by the Front Desk to
check out of your room? Simply leave your room any time before 11:00 a.m. on the morning of your departure. If you're not leaving town immediately, you can store your luggage with Bell Services. Disney will send an email with any itemized hotel charges or you can view your charges on the My Disney Experience app.
Be sure to take advantage of the
Disney Skyliner during your stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. This magical gondola system offers Guests a special bird's-eye view as it transports you to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. The themed gondolas are fun to see gliding across the sky and riding in one adds an extra bit of pixie dust to your day.
Kari, please stop by planDisney again if we can help you any further as you continue planning for your Walt Disney World vacation.
Have a magical day!
Bob
