Hiya, Christine! Welcome to planDisney. Your visit to Walt Disney World Resort is literally around the corner. Are you packed, yet? I always pack way too far in advance! I'd be extra excited to stay at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort because it's one of my favorites. The theming with its larger-than-life characters is "chef's kiss." I also love taking my
morning power stroll around Hourglass Lake.
Christine, I spoke with a friendly Cast Member at Art of Animation, and unfortunately, the Teach to Draw classes are not on the current calendar. She did add that activities are always subject to change, so I'd recommend stopping by the front desk when you arrive for a Weekly Recreation Calendar. She also said that activities can pop up, so keep your eyes peeled when you walk through the lobby for signage about any last-minute opportunities for fun!
The Teach to Draw classes sound absolutely amazing, but the resort does have
some other activities that could be offered while you're there. Making Mickey Tie-Dye tees is always a blast, and you'll have a groovy keepsake from your visit. Art of Animation also offers its Most Magical Scavenger Hunt which takes participants throughout the resort searching for adventure. And don't forget my son's favorite, Movies Under the Stars by the Big Blue Pool.
If your heart is set on drawing, Christine, you might head over to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park to try
The Animation Experience at Conservation Station. This 25-minute class is led by a Disney animator, and you'll learn to draw a Disney character to take home! How Hakuna Matata is that?
I hope you have a wonderful visit, Christine! Stop back by anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
