Hey, howdy, hey, Woody! And hello to your human, Michael!
I’m so glad you stopped by planDisney with your question. It looks like your family is about to saddle up for a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation and you are one lucky dog to get to come along!
Woody, when you check in to
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort you will receive a complimentary welcome kit from our ol’ pal Pluto! In
Pluto’s Welcome Kit, you will find several things that will help you and your family enjoy your visit, including a map of the walking trails and pet relief areas. I checked with a Disney Cast Member who said that dogs who are registered Guests of the resort are permitted to be on the walking trails around the hotel, but not allowed in other
common recreation areas like the pool areas or fitness centers. Just to be sure, your humans should confirm with the Cast Member at check-in which trails you are allowed to dash around like our good friend Slinky Dog likes to do. Always be sure that you have your leash on when you are out and about exploring the trails so that if you get distracted by a squirrel, like your buddy Dug sometimes does, you will be able to keep yourself under control. Oh, and remember that sometimes those walks can be a rootin tootin good time if you know what I mean, so be sure to ask your humans to clean up after you.
And here’s a little tip for you, Michael! You will want to stop by
Disney Tails in the Marketplace Co-Op at
Disney Springs to pick up a souvenir just for Woody. And if you decide that Woody would like to make some new friends, you might consider making a reservation for daytime boarding at
Best Friends Pet Hotel. Woody might enjoy some of the amenities like an ice cream break and group playtime while you are enjoying the theme parks.
Well, Woody, I hope that your vacation is to infinity and beyond magical and that your humans have “Lotso” fun, too!
Wag back by any time and let me know if you have any other questions or if your human, Michael, needs any other tips.
Remember, you’ve got a friend in me,
Shannon
