Howdy, Heidi, and thanks for turning to planDisney for your vacation needs. You'll be arriving at
Walt Disney World Resort soon, and it sounds like someone in your group will be celebrating a special day. Let's look at some ways to add pixie dust to your visit!
Disney Resort hotels don't offer an option to have your room decorated pre-arrival, but I have some ideas. First, check out
In-Room Floral & Gifts for festive and fun birthday baskets, balloons, and snacks. These items will be delivered to the front desk at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort for you to pick up at your convenience. You can also request that your items be delivered to your room for a fee, but you'll need to be there to accept them. Then, you can decorate any way you'd like!
My pal Lauren recommends searching online to see what options a third-party company like Dizzy Dolphin Delivery offers. You could also pack your own decorations and send the birthday guest out while you decorate the room. My husband recently did that for my birthday during our stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort. He's a keeper!
One of my favorite tips is to head to
Ye Old Christmas Shoppe in
Magic Kingdom Park, where they'll paint your name on a birthday pin for a small fee. I snuck off while my husband was in line for a snack to place the order for his pin. A couple of hours later, I got a text that it was ready to be picked up, and I surprised him with it in front of Cinderella Castle. It made for some fun photos and is a fabulous celebration keepsake.
Heidi, I'm sending balloons and banners so your visit will be extra special for the birthday guest! Please
stop by planDisney anytime. We're always ready to celebrate with you.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
