    Art of Animation....want to book a rm at the mermaid, I know there's a pool there...will there be slides...our daughter will be 5 when we plan on going in Oct. Thanks!

    Typically you will not find that the pools in Value resorts have slides. Both construction photos and promotional information from Disney seems to indicate that this will hold true here. However in the main resort pool, the one themed to Finding Nemo, you will find some newer water features. There is a splash area that you won't find in any of the existing Value resorts.

    I still think that while you may not get to have a slide, you should find that the resort is both a great value and a wonderful choice. The theming seems to really put you in the spirit of these movies. As for the amenities, they seemed to be applying all the things they have learned from their decades of resort building and applied them here. The food court sounds like it will be a real step up, the rooms seem to have a lot of thoughtful touches, and the pool, as mentioned, seems to be stepped up a notch.
