arriving 2/13 for a week stay. 2/14 is our anniversary as well as Valentines day of course. There is a total of 8,with 4 adults and 4 kids(ages 5-9).Where would you suggest to go for a nice dinner to celebrate but that is also kid friendly. Thanks.

Hi, Lynn!  Happy anniversary, and happy Valentine's Day all in one!  What a wonderful place to celebrate!

When I think of "nice" and "kid friendly", I immediately think of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Villas.  There are two very nice restaurants there, and both of them give you access to the animals on the savanna as well as the African storytellers.  I think they are both great locations for both a special celebration and kid friendly atmosphere.

Jiko, in Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, has a very upscale type of feel, but you can arrive early for your reservation, and take the kids outside to see the animals before you sit down to eat.  When dinner is done, head back out to sit around the fire and listen to the stories of Africa, or borrow some night vision goggles and see what you can see out on the night time savanna.  They also sometimes do a parade with the kids in the lobby of the resort that departs from the gift shop.  All of the kids borrow a musical instrument from the shop and parade around the lobby.  It's great fun!

Sanaa, which is in the Kidani Village part of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, has tables that overlook one of the savannas, so you can watch the animals as you dine.  My kids like the samplers they have on the menu, especially the bread service.  It's a nice way to introduce the kids to different flavors in a nice atmosphere.

You might also enjoy 'Ohana at the Polynesian.  You may be able to see the Wishes fireworks if you time the meal right, and they have some great kids activities during dinner.  Fun and definitely adult friendly!

    Enjoy your trip!
