We will be arriving at WDW on the 8th of October. There will be 19 of us for a family gathering. On the 9th we want to celebrate our Aunt/Uncle 48th wedding anniversary, and we will be staying at the Boardwalk. Any suggestions for our large group?

    Hi Deborah!

    Congrats on your upcoming trip!

What a special way to celebrate an anniversary! You will love the Boardwalk resort! That is one of my favorite resorts because the Boardwalk area is so much fun and it is within walking distance to Epcot.

I have a few tips for traveling to Disney with a large group:

    1. Agree on a general itinerary, but don't try to all stay together at all times while touring the park. It will be too difficult. Invest in walkie-talkies, or just make sure every party has a cell phone so you can stay in touch throughout the day.

    2. Schedule one meal with the entire party together, but don't try to dine together everyday. Book the entire party at once by calling 407-WDW-DINE to ensure that you get tables near each other. You may want to choose an off-time for your reservation, such as 2:00 or 4:00, early dinner or late lunch, to ensure that you can all get seated together.

    3. Some fun activities for the group to enjoy as a whole can be exploring the Boardwalk at night. You can enjoy the performers, grab a corn dog and funnel cake and walk around the beautiful lake. It is a relaxed atmosphere so your entire famiy can enjoy spending time together.

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
