We arriving at Vero Beach at the end of March. Our first time to the resort. Can you tell me what kid activities will be available? We have an 8,7,3, and 2 year old! Is the playground open? We are hoping to get connecting rooms also.

    Hello, Katherine!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with another question for the Panel. My family traveled from NC to Disney’s Vero Beach Resort for the first time last August. At the time, our kids were 12, 8, 7, and 6, and they all had so much fun! There are a number of recreation activities at Disney’s Vero Beach, including the beautiful sandy beaches, a feature pool and wet play area, Port Holes Miniature Golf, and family fun at Community Hall.

When we were not soaking up the sun at the beach or in the waves, we spent a lot of time at the Vero Beach Feature Pool, which is actually a Mickey Mouse-shaped swimming pool! All four of our kids had a SPLASHtastic time on the Pirate's Plunge Pool Slide. I lost count of how many times we went down the 2-story, 163-foot spiral water slide. Our boys even competed in slide races and our 12-year-old won for the fastest plunge in his age category!

I know you will be traveling with little ones, so you will enjoy spending time in the Tiger Lily Wet Play Area, located right by the feature pool. This children's splash area is themed as a pirate ship, complete with water cannons, and a mini water slide for your young buccaneers. Our littles had fun playing on the pirate ship while my wife and our oldest son cooled their feet and I got snacks from Wind & Waves Bar.

The playground was closed off when we were visiting, but a Cast Member will let you know what activities are currently available when you arrive. Be sure to stop by Eb & Flo's Rentals or call (772) 234-2116 to rent bicycles or check out complimentary sports equipment.

If you would like to inquire about adjoining rooms, I would suggest contacting the Front Desk at (772) 234-2000 to speak to a Cast Member before your arrival. Our family of six stayed in a 2-Bedroom Villa, which provided us with plenty of room to play, stretch, and sleep. Our youngest loves turtles, so she was excited to see so many sea turtles in the room decor. Our kids even made it a game to count all the turtles in our room.

Please let me know if I can help you with any other questions about Disney’s Vero Beach before your visit.

    Have a magical day!
