The
free water park tickets on arrival day perk for Disney World resort guests is a part of this year’s Cool KIDS’ SUMMER event and goes from May 26 through September 8, 2026. So, unfortunately, your arrival date will just miss that date range.
If you’d like to visit a water park during your trip, I recommend
purchasing water park tickets separately or purchasing a
theme park ticket that includes water park visits. Those ticket types would include the Water Park and Sports Option or the Park Hopper Plus Option.
During
Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, both
Typhoon Lagoon and
Blizzard Beach will be open. After that, the water parks will begin operating on an alternating basis. However, there hasn’t been an announcement yet regarding which water park will remain open. I’d keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and the
Hours & Events Calendar for updated information as your trip gets closer.
It’s also good to note that the
Disney World resorts often have more than one pool open at any one time. So, you may want to look into your options right there at your resort! If you’re staying at a deluxe resort that offers
cabana rentals, that could be something fun to look into, as well.
We rented a cabana during a recent trip, and I can’t wait to do it again in the future! It’s some of the best money we’ve ever spent at Disney World, and it made for such a relaxing pool day.
