Hi! Arriving in POFQ sept 21 we are trying to finalize ADR for our trip. If we make rsv's that require cc I know we have to cancel the day before not to be charged but if we make a reservation for 7 guests but only 5 actual go do we still get a penalty?

Hi Khalan,

A situation like that would be up to the discretion of the staff at the restaurant. If you have a credit card hold on an reservation for seven people and only five show up, then technically you should be assessed at $20 ($10 per person) penalty. However, in my personal experience, this often does not happen. Often, if the bulk of your party shows up for the reservation, then it's likely that the guests who are there will just be charged for their meals.

But again, this is up to the cast members at the restaurant, so it certainly makes sense to be nice to them and very appreciative if they waive the penalty fee.
