I am arriving in Orlando on January 18 but not checking into My Disney camping grounds till 19 January. Can I purchase my lightning lane pass already and then wait until seven days before two book my rides

    Hi Renee,

We're so glad you stopped by planDisney with a question today, and I have some great news to share!

You won't have to wait until your January 19 check-in date to purchase Lightning Lane Passes and begin booking your attraction arrival windows. Guests with reservations at a Disney Resort hotel (or other select participating hotels) can purchase 7 days in advance of arrival. If your reservation is at one of these resorts, or at Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, or Shades of Green Resort, plan to set aside some time beginning at 7 am on January 12 to purchase and plan for your length of stay (up to 14 days).

If you won't be staying at a participating resort, you can still get a jump start on planning up to 3 days before your ticket start date. I recommend reviewing the rules for varying ticket types here to determine your booking window. Typically, it's 3 days in advance for the length of admission for guests with multi-day date-based tickets, and 3 days in advance, one day at a time, for Annual Passholders and other ticket types.

Be sure to have the My Disney Experience App downloaded and your tickets linked, so you can begin the Lightning Lane Pass purchase process as soon as your eligibility window opens.

Renee, if you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to come back and let us know. We're always here to help!

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
