Hello! We will be arriving after the opening of Galaxy's Edge, we want to take advantage of early morning magic hours 6am - 9am. Will the Disney buses be running early enough for that or should we plan on Uber?

Hi, Kelly! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I, too, am anxiously awaiting the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge later this month at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. My family and I will be there during the opening weekend, and we also plan to take advantage of the extra, Extra Magic Hours.

One of the biggest benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel is the complimentary transportation to the Theme Parks, Water Parks and Disney Springs. Bus transportation begins 45 minutes prior to Park opening--even on those extra, Extra Magic Hours days. So you should be able to board a bus from your Walt Disney World Resort hotel beginning at 5:15 a.m. with continuous service every 20 minutes or so.

A relatively new feature of the My Disney Experience mobile app is the ability to check bus wait and arrival times right from the app! Just tap on your Resort hotel reservation and then select “Check Bus Times” to see when the next one will be arriving.

I hope you and your family have an out-of-this-world time during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Kelly! Please let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer for you as you continue to plan.

    Best wishes,
    Amy
