Welcome, not-so-foolish mortal Amy! We're thrilled you stopped by planDisney on your way to
Walt Disney World Resort. You're visiting during the creepiest time of year, so I hope you're ready for some scares. Let's look at adding extra time at the theme parks for even more frightening fun!
So that you know, your ticket to
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party allows you to enter Magic Kingdom Park
as early as 4:00 PM. The event is from 7:00 PM to midnight, so those bonus hours allow for some terrifying time in the park!
You must use a regular ticket to spend the whole day at the park. Since I'm unsure of the type of admission you've already purchased, I recommend calling the
Existing Tickets line to see your best option. Sometimes, upgrading to a longer ticket can offer a discounted rate, so I'd rather you speak to a Cast Member instead of simply buying a separate ticket online. A
standard date-based ticket for October 17 at Magic Kingdom costs around $180, but pricing is always subject to change. I'm wishing on a star you find a devilishly good deal!
If you purchase admission and enter the park earlier, you should be able to pick up your party credentials from inside Magic Kingdom. I did this last year and got my wristband and an adorable bag for my candy in Adventureland near
Tortuga Tavern. Sometimes, these lines are much shorter than at the main entrance. Feel free to ask any Cast Member where these pickup points will be, but several are typically inside the park to accommodate day guests.
My favorite part of the party is
Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade. Seeing the Headless Horseman on his sinister steed always puts me in the Halloween spirit! My tip is to wait for the second show at 11:15 PM for lighter crowds...if you dare!
Amy, I'm sprinkling pixie dust and candy corn your way for a vampirish visit. Please stop by
planDisney anytime; we're
dying to help you!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
