A big hello to a fellow Ontarian Karen! I'm assuming that since you are arriving on New Year's Eve day, you are looking for a restaurant not located in a theme park. Write back if you wanted theme park spots. Here are a few ideas:
-
Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge is fun for all ages, with crazy antics by the cast members and great food. Be warned, this is not a quiet spot!
-
Raglan Road Irish Pub in Downtown Disney serves up great pub food with live Irish bands and dancers.
- I have two suggestions at the Grand Floridian:
Narcoossee's offers great food with a spectacular view of the fireworks. The second is
1900 Park Fare. This is a character buffet, where at dinner you're joined by Cinderella and Prince Charming, as well as her step mother and step sisters who are absolutely hilarious. When we were there, the teens around us were having so much fun!
- If you're looking for something a bit fancier, then head to the Contemporary Resort's
California Grill, where you'll enjoy delicious food and awesome views of the Magic Kingdom and fireworks.
- Another fun idea would be to head over to the Boardwalk. I recommend the
Flying Fish Cafe, where we love sitting at the food bar watching the chefs in action. After dinner, you can enjoy the entertainment on the Boardwalk - a perfect spot for New Year's Eve!
Whichever you choose, be sure to reserve soon, as it's a very busy night! You can do so online at the links above, or call (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463).
Hope this helps Karen!
