We will be arriving mid-afternoon later this week. It's our 1st trip to WDW with 6yr old. We do not have park passes for that day, looking for some suggestions of what to do late afternoon or after early dinner reservations? Staying at Wilderness Lodge.

Hi Michael! You picked a fabulous resort for your first Disney vacation. Your plans will give you plenty of time to explore your resort.  After a day of travelling, we too opt for spending a quieter first day.  One of our favourite first day activities is to hop on the bus to Downtown Disney. We can easily spend hours there exploring the shops, snacking on treats and soaking in the sights. You might even decide to sail 400 feet in the sky on the new Characters in Flight balloon ride.

Another non-park option for the evening is visiting Disney's Boardwalk. There is lots going on at this hopping spot, including magicians, shops and more. Miniature golf is always a fun thing to do at Disney, and you can choose between two courses. Winter Summerland is my daughter's favourite! After dinner, you could take the boat (or bus) to Fort Wilderness and Chip and Dale's Campfire Singalong, which is followed by an outdoor Disney movie.

    Hope this helps Michael!
