Hi, Will be arriving on 4-13-08. Will be leaving WDW for 1 day to do either Sea World or Universal. Which is better for children 6 & 8 yrs old?? And how much will it cost to get there via taxi, bus or MEARS ?? Love your site & love all your helpful

    Hi Jennifer,

Thank you, my fellow Disney panel friends and I are so glad that our tips are helping so many with their Disney vacations. How exciting that your trip will soon be here. Both Sea World and Universal are great places to visit and you should really consider the interests of your children to decide which would work best for your family.

Universal has some fun rides and attractions but my boys found some of the attractions a little to frightening for them. Sea World is a great place to interact and learn about many different animal species. Knowing my boys and what there level of interest is in thrill rides, Sea World was an easy choice for us. I would suggest checking at universalorlando.com and seaworld.com to learn more about the activites and rides both locations offer and make your decision.

We have not used a taxi to get from WDW resorts to either of those locations but we have used Mears quite often. We find the shuttle service quite reliable and easy to use. You can find shuttle information and current prices by checking mearstransportation.com or by calling 407-423-5566. The last time we used the shuttle to Sea World it was around $18.00 per person round trip and children three and under were free.

Hope you have a magical trip!
