Hi All! Arriving on June 18 with the fam and staying at Beach Club. Looking for some rope drop tips for Epcot and HS. We are early birds and will be among the first in line, but where to go first? Soarin? Frozen? Test Track? Slinky? or tower/aerosmith?

Hello there, John! Welcome back to planDisney! We are so excited that you’ve taken the time to stop back by and allow us to help you plan another magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!

Staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort is the perfect location for visiting both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Both theme parks are located within walking distance from this area and can also be reached via boat transportation. Personally, I love staying at one of the Disney Resort hotels in Disney’s BoardWalk area when my family plans on rope dropping both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

When visiting Epcot, you may want to take advantage of your location upon entering! Since you will be staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, you will be close to the World Showcase entrance of Epcot. This means that Frozen Ever After will be the first attraction you will pass on your way into the park. After that, you will be a short walk from Test Track. Finally, you can make your way over to Soarin’ Around the World in the Land Pavilion. This would be my strategy for experiencing all three of these attractions first thing in the morning but, if you have a preference or one of these is a “must-do”, you may want to make a beeline for that specific attraction!

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there are many thrilling attractions that are wildly popular! With this theme park, I would suggest choosing whichever attraction looks the most interesting to you and your family and experiencing it first. Then, you can make your way to any other attractions you would like afterwords. Generally, the most popular areas of Disney’s Hollywood Studios are Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. With this in mind, attractions in these lands tend to have the longest waits so they are great candidates for rope drop attractions! Additionally, you will also want to make a Virtual Queue pass for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at some point during your visit! This incredibly detailed attraction transports Guests right into the battle between the Resistance and the malevolent First Order and is not an experience you want to miss!

I hope you have a magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort later this Summer! Please let us know if we can assist with planning in any other way!
