Welcome back to planDisney, Jennifer. It's so nice to see you back around these parts!
While we don't yet know exactly what will be offered for New Year's Day in 2025, we
do know that typically, most of the specialty entertainment happens the night before on New Year's
Eve. The specialty fireworks and DJ Dance Parties that often happen on New Year's Eve in
Magic Kingdom Park and
EPCOT typically don't repeat on New Year's
Day. But don't worry, while they are not usually themed to the holiday, the
nighttime spectaculars are typically still happening on New Year's Day, so you should still be able to start your year off with a bang. And you never know...something special may be announced, so stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog for any announcements leading up to your trip.
Whether or not New Year's Day is a little bit more subdued when compared to New Year's Eve, you are still starting the year off at the
Walt Disney World Resort! That in and of itself is both incredibly magical and a great way to kick off 2025. Plus, you'll be some of the first Guests to be able to use the brand-new water park perk for 2025. If you're staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you'll be able to visit the open
water park on your check-in day,
included in your hotel stay! Now, that's a great way to celebrate!
And don't forget, the theme parks and resort hotels will likely still be all dolled up for the
holiday season when you arrive. There's just something special about the
trees, the wreaths, and all of the other
beautiful decor that help to make this home away from home feel even more welcoming. And keep an eye on
Disney Eats for any specialty treats that may be available for purchase. For me, it's not the holidays without some good grub!
Jennifer, have a great New Year's trip to the resort.
Reach out again if you have any other questions!
Remember, you're the one who can fill the world with sunshine,
