Hi there, arriving on Jan 21-30th. Have 2 boys that I know would love to take part in the Star Wars Jedi Training. Is this something that goes on everyday @ Hollywood Studios?? I'm trying to find out a little more information about it, thanks so much.

    Hi Wendy!

My son and I love the Star Wars Jedi Training Academy! My son got to go up on stage to get his light saber training and then was able to fight Darth Vader.  He vividly remembers it to this day and the event was over two years ago!

Yes the Star Wars Jedi Training Academy is still continuing everyday at Hollywood Studios, but the times are not published online because they can vary depending on the season and park crowd levels.  The best advice for you is to consult the daily Entertainment Times Guide at Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park for the performance times.  You can pick up this guide when you enter the gates of the Hollywood Studios and it will detail all the show times for that day. Also the show times are posted right outside the Star Tours ride where the Star Wars Jedi Training Academy is held.

The Jedi Master picks a handful of boys and girls to receive the Jedi Training so here are a few tips to give your children a increased chance to be chosen for this special training:

    1. Show up 15-25 minutes before the show is scheduled to start
    2. Stand right on the line directly in front of the middle of the stage (basically the audience front row)
    3. Have your child wear a Star Wars T-Shirt or a Jedi Robe
    4. When the Jedi master asks for volunteers have your children wave their hands, jump, and shout (the more excited and enthusiastic the better).  They should continue do this until he is finished picking children.

If your children do not get picked on their first try, then come back later for the next show and use the same tips that I gave you above.  Usually persistence pays off.

May the Force be with you and your kids as you tour the Hollywood Studios!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
