We are arriving at Disney on november 9 2012 and we are attending MVMCP. We arrive in orlando at around 9 am and are staying at Disneys movie resort. What would be a good place to eat lunch with a 4 year old prefer buffet style?

    Hi Jamie,

There are lots of great buffets at Walt Disney World, but not many of them are open for lunch. The only WDW buffets that serve lunch are: Biergarten at Epcot (German food), Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom (Winnie the Pooh characters), Hollywood at Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios (Disney Junior characters), Tusker House at the Animal Kingdom (Donald Duck and friends), and Trails End at Fort Wilderness (American food).

The only one of these which does not require a park ticket is Trails End. I must tell you that this is not particularly convenient to the All Star Movies Resort.

Since you're going to MVMCP, Crystal Palace would be a good choice, but again, you'd need to use a regular theme park ticket to dine there in the early afternoon.

If you'd prefer not to go into the parks until the party, then you may want to eat at your resort food court and hang out by the pool until party time. You could also go to Downtown Disney to eat. While not buffets, the T-Rex Cafe and Rainforest Cafe often appeal to children.

If you write back and let us know whether you would use a park ticket to eat, we may be able to provide you with more suggestions. Just let us know what we can do to help.
