We are arriving in DIsney in May and staying on the property w/our 3 yr old and 1 yr old. We were planning to use Disney's transportation, but considering renting a car now. What are your thoughts as to making it easy and convenient to get around? Thx!

Hi Kristin! Great question, and this is one we moms discuss regularly! One of the things I love about a Disney World vcacation is not having to drive anywhere. Disney takes care of getting you where you need to go, from the minute you step off the plane. At home, we're always in the car, to soccer, swimming, skiing, work and on and on. It is so relaxing to sit back and let someone else do the driving. Plus we always seem to have fun on the buses, chatting with the drivers and meeting other resort guests. Buses can also get you closer to  park gates than parking lots.

Now, that being said, it is super convenient to rent a car, especially if you'll be visiting other resorts, as you might have to transfer buses. There are often great rental car deals offered in Orlando, and given your trip is a few months away, you might be able to get yourself a car at a cheap rate. Also, as a Disney Resort guest, you don't have to pay for parking at any of the theme parks, another perk.

Hope this helps with your decision Kristin! Write back with any other questions you may have.
