We will be arriving Dec 24 and staying thru Dec 31....will it be too cold for swimming in the hotel pool? What kind of clothes should we bring...is it the rainy season????

    Hi Rosemary!

Congratulations on planning your Walt Disney World visit during the holiday season. Make sure that you book a visit to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It is one of my most favorite parades available, and the hot chocolate and cookies are delish!

The weather during December is very cool, reaching highs of 70 degrees during the day, and 50 degrees during the evening hours. You can do with a light sweater during the day, but a jacket (and at times gloves and hat!) will be necessary during the evening. As is the case in Florida all year round, there may be sun showers, or intermittent rain storms throughout the day. You can purchase a poncho prior to you arriving at the parks, just to be on the safe side.

All pools at the resorts and at the water parks are heated to a lovely 85 degrees during the winter months, so you can definitely enjoy a swim!

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
