    Hi, arriving at Contemporary Resort on 10/13/23 @ 4PM approx. My wife's birthday that day, so wondered if there was a chance to arrange Pluto (favourite character) to present her with a Pluto b'day cake upon arrival or @ dinner with a photo?

    I'm always super happy to lend a hand as a former Australian resident to fellow folks flying overseas for their holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks and can definitely offer my knowledge to help you plan a special surprise for your wife's birthday!

    Now while you're at Disney's Contemporary Resort there are two different ways that you could go about having her dear Pluto be present on her birthday at vastly varying price points:

    • If you've got a big budget, you could opt for a big birthday celebration booked through the Disney Meetings & Events team. I've personally attended beautiful events up atop Disney's Contemporary Resort at California Grill where character friends have made special appearances for up to half an hour - you'd just have to be willing to spend the several thousand dollars required to make it happen like my husband and I recently did just to have Mickey and Minnie show up on our wedding day!
    • A much more accessible option for most could be making a reservation at Chef Mickey's, which is a Character Dining experience right within the central concourse of Disney's Contemporary Resort where Pluto makes an appearance and can greet your wife for the perfect birthday photo opportunity! (Bear in mind that this is a very popular experience so I would definitely recommend booking this sooner than later, and the earliest seating following the arrival time you mentioned would be from 5:00 p.m. onwards.)
    • You can even order a special birthday cake to be presented during your meal and mention to the Cast Members serving you how important Pluto is to the birthday girl to see whether they can time it perfectly for him to be around as it arrives! For a specifically Pluto-inspired cake, your best bet is to inquire over at Amorette's Patisserie in Disney Springs to inquire about the delivery options they may have available to you on that date with enough advance notice. (I spoke with a Cast Member who advised at least 72 hours prior to the date, with no guarantee with regard to locations across Walt Disney World Resort.)
