Can I do Disney Villain Tarot card readings for guests on Halloween cruise?

Why hello there spooky seafarer, I'd like to welcome you aboard planDisney!

As Doctor Facilier says, "The cards, the cards, the cards will tell the past, the present and the future as well!" When I lived onboard we would sometimes get questions like these from fellow tellers of fates and fortunes on the seas as they channel their inner Madame Leota. Now whether you'll be able to do this while you're on board for Halloween on the High Seas depends on precisely how you intend to go about it!

I had a chance to confirm with a Disney Cruise Line Crew Member that while there is no specific policy in place nor any prohibition on tarot cards brought on board for you to do your own readings, they wanted me to make sure of the following:

    • Activities that guests choose to do on their own time in public spaces must not be disruptive to other guests nor interfere with any programming on board.
    • Onboard personnel such as crew members or officers have the right to restrict activities on the ship at any time and at their discretion.
    • Only authorized crew members or vendors are allowed to provide services or offerings on board for paying guests.
I hope that this provides you with some more insight to guide you on how or whether you want to attempt this on board. If you have an upcoming cruise booked, it may be a good idea to join one of the online communities on social media dedicated for your sailing to see if any of your fellow seafarers would be interested. Personally, I think the Disney Villains Tarot deck is beautiful and definitely not something you'd want flying away with the breezes on the upper decks of the ship! You might have better luck with the quiet lounges on board that may have tables large enough for more complex spreads, but it's definitely always worth asking the Crew Members within these spaces so they can give you a heads up about whether the space will be used for an upcoming event - even ones that may not be listed on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App

Here's to insightful readings and smooth seas in your future!
