Karen, Walt Disney World Resort never lacks pixie-dust, but visiting during the holidays makes everything even more sparkly and magical! You must be so excited, and its never too early to start planning.
All Walt Disney World restaurants will be open for Guests on Christmas Day. However, only a few locations offer a special Christmas menu, and Disney selects different restaurants every year to host these special holiday meals. For 2018, the hosting restaurants were:
*Ale and Compass Restaurant — serving brunch and dinner
*Biergarten Restaurant — serving lunch and dinner
*Rose & Crown Dining Room — serving lunch and dinner
*Sanaa — serving lunch and dinner
*Whispering Canyon Cafe — serving lunch and dinner
I highly advise you to book your dining reservations 180 days in advance. However, the special Christmas menus for these restaurants won't be posted until we get closer to the holidays.
Another option for you to consider is to reserve a
Candlelight Processional Dining Package, which guarantees a great meal at an Epcot area restaurant, and a seat at the show of your choice (and the seats can be hard to come by on popular nights). Many of the participating restaurants serve breakfast or lunch which would suit your schedule. In my opinion, this beautiful show, which retells the story of Christmas with a celebrity narrator and 50-piece orchestra and choir, is "not to be missed!"
Lastly, make sure to visit the famous 14 foot Gingerbread House in the lobby of
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It's as spectacular as it sounds! Good luck planning your vacation, and stop back to see us with any more questions.
