We are arriving around 10 pm on a Friday night on Sept 12 and want to hit the parks for the rope drop (extra magic hours) the next morning - what is the best way to get DVC annual passes & hopefully exchange our 3 - 1 day MYW tickets for credit as well

A DVC annual pass can be obtained through DVC member services or at any theme park ticket windows or guest relations desks. The ticket and guest relations windows at the parks should be open an hour or more before any park opening time, even morning Extra Magic Hours.

To have the least worry during your trip, you could get your annual pass voucher via mail in advance through the DVC, but they may not be able to apply the value of an unused park ticket toward the purchase of the greater value ticket. (To confirm all this you could call DVC member services.) You would be able to do this at the parks. You'll want to make sure you have the tickets you want to upgrade with you during the transaction.

I am a DVC member and have an annual pass that I got at the parks (Epcot guest relations actually) with the DVC discount (substantial by the way). In order to get this discount you will need to have proof of DVC membership with you. I used my DVC member card (looks like a credit card), but if you can't locate this, then a DVC maintenance bill or similar official correspondence would probably work as long as the name and address on the bill match that on your drivers license or other ID.

For further information on annual passes go to allearsnet.com and search for an article called "Tickets: Annual Passes."

Have a great trip and enjoy your savings.
