Hello! We'll be arriving at AKL in the am due to an early flight. My 9 year old will want to head straight to the pool. If our room is not ready at that time, are there changing areas available near the pool and will there be towels to use? Thanks!

I understand how eager kids (and their parents) are to get started on the fun at Walt Disney World!

Yes, there are public restrooms in the Animal Kingdom Lodge lobby and near the pool where you would be welcome to change into swim gear. The AKL does have an ample supply of towels near the pool, just grab what you need.

If you're not in the mood for swimming, you should also know that the Bell Services desk at AKL can hold your luggage for you if your room isn't ready. This means that you can drop your bags and head out to the theme parks to get going on the rides. The front desk of the resort can even send you a text or voicemail to let you know when your room is ready.
