We will be arriving at the airport at 11am on June 30th for 6d/7n. I need advice planning that first afternoon. We plan to visit a park, but how should we handle checking in, recieving packets, luggage, etc since check in is not until 3.

    Hi Melissa,

No need to worry. Even though check in time isn't officially until 3:00, you can do everything except get your room at any time you like. Since your flight gets in at 11:00, depending on your mode of travel, you'll likely be arriving at your hotel between noon and 12:30. Head right on over to the registration desk. They will get your account set up for you. You'll receive maps of your hotel and the parks, a schedule of events at the resort, and your Key to the World Card.

The Key to the World Card is your key to Walt Disney World. It will serve as your room key. Additionally, it will be loaded with any park tickets or dining plan credits you have purchased. You can also choose to configure it as a charge card so you can put purchases in the parks and resorts on your hotel bill.

Once you've gotten your Key card, head on over to the Bell Services desk nearby. They will tag your luggage for you and hold it in a secure place. Then you're ready to head off to the parks and enjoy your afternoon.

You can even ask the front desk of the hotel to call your cell phone or text you when your room is ready. Since you'll already have your key, when you get back to the hotel all you have to do is retrieve your bags from Bell Services and go to right to your room.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
