We will be arriving by airplane at 12:00 on December 30 after an 8 am departure from Omaha. I was wondering if you thought my 3 kids would be up to The Candle Illuminations dinner at Marrekesh at 4:05 followed by the show at 6:45? do kids enjoy this show?

Not knowing the ages or temperaments of your children, it's hard to say if they would be up for it. I know you will have a long day of travel preceding, so if they are very young and don't sleep on the plane, they might be tired. Generally speaking, though, I would be willing to take my own young children after making the trip that same day, so it's definitely possible.

Whether or not they would enjoy the show also depends a great deal on their ages and personalities. They would need to be capable of sitting still and quiet for an hour or so (show itself is usually about 45 minutes long). The Candlelight Processional is a scriptural retelling of the birth of Christ, with music and Bible passages woven together to tell the story of Christmas. Because there is a mix of singing and talking, I think it does hold the attention of most children, except the very youngest.

In my opinion the CP is a 'must-do' holiday event, and I certainly would not plan a December trip to Disney without seeing it. Since this is your only opportunity, I say go for it!

    Good luck!
