We arrived July 29 however we will not start visiting the parks that day. So once we check in at 3pm what kind of things can we do? Where can we eat and get some entertainment?

    Hi Johnetta,

I'm happy to let you know that you'll find magic and fun all around the Walt Disney World Resort, and that your check-in day is only the beginning! Even if you arrive earlier than the official check-in time, you'll still be able to swim in the pools, eat at the restaurants, participate in any activities around your Resort hotel, and start enjoying your vacation.

If you're looking for a great place to eat and some fun entertainment, I'd recommend a visit to Disney Springs! You'll find lots of delicious dining options, unique shopping, and even some live entertainment. While you're there, you could enjoy some friendly competition at Splitsville Luxury Lanes or catch the latest movie at AMC Disney Springs 24 Dine-In Theatres. Disney Parks Moms Panel tip: If you're thinking about dining at a Table-service restaurant, I'd definitely recommend making a dining reservation ahead of time, as they are pretty popular and can fill up in advance.

One other thing that my family enjoys doing on our arrival day is traveling around to visit the different Resort hotels. They are all so uniquely themed with incredible attention to detail and I'd definitely encourage you to walk around both the lobby areas and the grounds outside. We also love taking a relaxing boat ride or fun trip around the monorail loop. We're always just so excited to be at the Walt Disney World Resort that it doesn't matter what we're doing, it still feels magical!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Johnetta, and have a truly magical vacation!
