We arrive to WDW on 12/13. We have dinner reservations at Chef Mickey's at 6:45p and were planning to catch Illuminations fireworks at Epcot that evening. Will that give us enough transit time? We're traveling with 7 of us ( 5 adults, 4yo & 3yo). Than

    Hello Amanda,

Experiencing as much as possible, when visiting Walt Disney World, is a common occurrence which can be do-able with some strategic planning and accepting some possible hiccups along the way.  But with a little bit of Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust magical and memorable moments will be had by all.

On the evening of Sunday December 13th, Illuminations: Reflections of Earth, is currently scheduled to explode into the sky at 9:30 p.m. In order to make the show, I would allow at least an hour or more of travel time and locating a viewing spot. My advice, is upon your arrival to Chef Mickey's, speak to your server and let them know you are attempting to make the show at Epcot and would kindly appreciate their help to enjoy your dining experience but be able to leave at an accommodating time. From Disney's Contemporary Resort board the monorail, located on the 5th floor, and disembark at the first stop, the Transportation and Ticket Center. Locate the Epcot monorail and board for the final leg of your trip. I would estimate about 35 minutes of wait and travel time. Once at Epcot, begin strategically locating a viewing spot. Because this show is centralized in the center of World Showcase lagoon and encompasses the entire World Showcase their are several viewing options, just make sure trees are not blocking your view. If possible, have a couple of adults in your party go ahead of you so the children aren't having to keep up.

If I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask and may your upcoming stay at Walt Disney World be one to remember.

    Peace, Love & Mickey,

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
