Gabriela, welcome aboard! My family and I always take advantage of the ease of adding a few days at the Walt Disney World Resort before we set sail out of Port Canaveral for a
Land and Sea vacation!
Disney Cruise Line's agents at (800) 951-3532 can book your resort and park tickets and link them with your cruise reservations. Another plus of staying at the resort and parks before you set sail is that you can enjoy the optional Ground Transfers that pick you up right at your resort and take you directly to the port the morning of your sailing. It's the best way to transition from land to sea and back again. You'll get a notice in your resort room the night before you set sail letting you know the exact pick up time. They'll also swing by your room and grab your checked luggage at 8:00 a.m. that morning to send ahead to the ship. We then keep a day bag with us to enjoy a relaxing morning at the resort before hopping aboard the motorcoach to Port Canaveral. Letting Disney do the driving really is the best, Gabriela. My kids love watching the classic Disney cartoons on the screens onboard as we take the hour-long ride to the port. Before we know it, we catch the first glimpse of our Disney Cruise Line ship waiting to whisk us away to paradise!
At Castaway Cay, your little one will love Spring-A-Leak splash area as well as the fun Character Dance Parties and even the crab races, my kids' favorite! They love to name their crab and cheer him on to victory! Watch your Personal Navigator or the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for exact times. Also, allow your child to stay with the counselors at Scuttle's Cove, the Youth Club on the island for ages 3 - 12 while you sneak away to adults-only Serenity Bay. My kids can't get enough of the wet and sandy fun at Scuttle's Cove!
Happy planning!
